2017 Rotarian of the Year – Dave Roasa

Congratulations to Dave, our Rotarian of the Year! Dave is the definition of Rotary, we are proud to have him as a member and look forward to serving on all the future goodwill adventures he takes us. Making A Difference In GC!        

Dave joined Rotary in 2002 as a member of the Grove City Ohio Rotary Club and served as Club President in 2012-2013, he has also been in many club board positions including secretary, treasurer, and director roles. Dave has also the district chair for Group Study Exchange from 2007 to 2012.

Dave and his wife Jan (also a Rotarian) are multiple Paul Harris Fellows.

While in Rotary Dave has received several club and district awards including – RI Four Avenues of Service Citation in 2009, Governors Awards in 2010 and 2012, Club Rotarian of the Year 2003 and 2017.

Dave recently started volunteering at Disaster Aid USA, became a Disaster Aid Response Team (DART) member, and been on two Disaster Aid USA deployments in 2017 – Hundred WV and Hurricane Irma

Dave was born and raised in Ohio.  Dave’s career of 40 years was in Information Technology (IT), the last ten at Nationwide Insurance where he was a Mainframe Engineering Director and retired in 2014.

He is now a Realtor and team member with “The Parrett Group” at HER Realtors.

Dave has volunteered for several civic and community boards and has been active in many other organizations in the community over the years.

Dave and his wife Jan are parents of three children, and have 4 grandchildren. They also have a dog – Zoey. He enjoys boating, time at the beach, and hanging out with friends…
